2016 Track Champions

Once again, over 100 race cars filled the pits at RPM Speedway in Hays, KS, Saturday evening, September 17, for championship night.  But partway through the heat races, thunderstorms arrived and forced track officials to call it a night.

With the rain and no other night to compete for points before the end of the point season, point leaders in their respective divisions were crowned the track champions.

Track champions in their respective divisions were Dylan Sherfick, Wakeeney, in the Gib’s Auto Supply IMCA Modifieds; Jason Rogers, Selden, Advantage Glass Plus IMCA Stock Cars; Blaine Walt, Collyer, Golden B Hydra Drilling IMCA Sport Mods; Andrew Burg, Carlisle, IA, Golden Plains IMCA Hobby Stocks; Billy Turner, Colby, Cutting Edge Collision IMCA Sport Compacts; and the team of Justin Yarmer and Levi Ryan, Russell, in the Radke Implement ‘Crazy’ Cruisers.

Quality Oil Well Cementing was the evening's race sponsor.

It was also Fan Appreciation Night with adults admitted for half price and kids free.

RPM Speedway will wrap up the 2016 racing season with Xtreme MotorSports X Annual  Fall Nationals, fueled by Casey's General Stores, on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, October 6-8. There will be a complete program for the Sport Compacts and Cruisers Thursday night, with test & tune for the other races and qualifiers on Friday night, with last chance races and main events on Saturday.
